FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Important Information about the Analog to Digital TV conversion

February 17th 2009 is Last Day of Analog TV as you once knew it:

Today's Date -- April 9, 2008

The federal government has mandated that all television stations in the U.S. stop broadcasting analog TV signals and transition over to digital.

When will analog broadcasts stop?

Analog Television Broadcasts will stop on  February 17th 2009  but our customers don't have to wait until then to start enjoying the improved picture quality of digital television!

Who does this effect?

Over 88% of U.S. Households use Satellite/Cable and will be largely unaffected by this switch to Digital Broadcasting.
Approximately 11% of U.S. households rely on over-the-air analog TV (antenna users / inside or outside).
These customers have 3 options to continue receiving television service.

1.. Purchase a Digital TV from AMERICAN SATELLITE or another provider
2.. Subscribe to Cable or Satellite service. Contact  AMERICAN SATELLITE at 1-800-727-7289 or e-mail us at Orders@WildBlue.net  We offer several programs where we will provide qualifying* customers with all the equipment they will need Plus the standard installation of the equipment, at little or no cost to you.
3.. Purchase a digital-to-analog converter box from AMERICAN SATELLITE  with the help of a government issued $40 coupon. Note:  AMERICAN SATELLITE is in the process of obtaining a newer, quality made, Digital Converter box that we will sell for $39.99. At this price your cost will be FREE with the coupon. This new box is in it's final testing stages. It should be available in June of this year & is worth waiting for.

How Can Consumers get the Coupon?

Consumers can visit www.dtv2009.gov/ApplyCoupon.aspx and apply for up to two $40-off coupons to defray the costs of buying Digital-to-Analog converter boxes.
The coupons will be available from 1/1/08 through 3/31/09.
The last day you can use the coupons is 7/9/09. Please Note: Coupons Expire 90 days after they are mailed to you, so Do Not Send For Your Coupons Until You Are Ready To Use Them!!!!
Once our customers obtain their $40.00 coupons, they can purchase the Digital-to-Analog converter boxes. (Not all qualifying models are available at this time). Once that is done, our customers with analog televisions can continue to enjoy the programming they have become accustomed to plus more, in true Digital Quality. You do not need to spend the extra money to buy a flat screen TV

*** NOTICE TO ALL RETAILERS ***

Before you can accept the coupons you must be certified at www.ntiadtv.com - you must apply no later than 3/31/08
You only have to apply!     The time for you to be certified has expired. If you are not already certified, you cannot participate in the $40-off coupon redemption program for Consumers.

For more information on the Coupon redemption program call 866-296-1107.

Note: All D to A converter boxes output standard definition NTSC video only,  customers will not receive HD programming using one of these since analog TV's can't display HD video. If a customer wants HDTV they will need to buy a new television.
